EMF Protection: Real or a Scam?

.

There is still quite a bit of controversy surrounding the effects of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure in humans. In this day and age, we are surrounded by EMFs the all time. Cell phones, computer monitors, hair dryers, televisions, etc. all emit electromagnetic energy.  It’s impossible for humans today to avoid some exposure to EMFs. The question is: Is EMF exposure harmful? And if so, do EMF Protection devices really safeguard us or are they devices invented to scam the consumer?

First, there is no conclusive evidence that EMF exposure is harmful mostly because we’ve only been using computers and cell phones on a regular basis for the past 20 years. Significant studies monitoring long term EMF damage are unavailable because humans have not been using the technology for that long. At the same time, there are concerns among the medical community that consistent EMF exposure can lead to DNA damage, cancer and other serious diseases. Since the jury is still out on EMF damage in the medical community…it is ultimately up to each individual to decide whether or not to purchase EMF protection devices. If you are worried about EMF damage, then it can only benefit you to seek EMF protection.

Recently, several products have come to market offering EMF protection. There are cell phone shields, home appliance shields and even EMF meters you can buy that will determine the strength of EMF’s in your home. There are also pendants on the market that claim to harness the power of  your body’s own biofields to improve your natural responses to stress and fatigue. Shields for you cell phone and appliances will definitely help block EMF’s from reaching your body. These shields may be a good place to start if you are worried. However, the pendants most likely are a scam. There is no conclusive research that wearing a pendant can tap into your biofields to protect you from EMF damage. But, again, the choice is ultimately yours.
